Dr Maria Ftanou (Bsc (Hons), DPsych) is a Clinical Psychologist who has had substantial experience in the mental health field both in the private sector and the public sector. She has worked in a number of multidisciplinary teams and provided psychological services to people with chronic illness, terminal illness and both primary and acute mental health concerns. Maria is also actively involved in providing supervision to a number of provisional psychologists and clinical psychologists. She is currently a research fellow at the Centre for Health Policy, Programs and Economics. She is involved in the national evaluation of the Better Access to Psychiatrists, Psychologists and GPs through the Medicare Benefits Schedule Initiative.
