| Biography |
Deb Knoche is a research assistant to Professor Ian Anderson, Director of CHS and Onemda VicHealth Koori Health Unit. Professor Anderson is also the research Director for the Cooperative Research Centre for Aboriginal Health. This position supports and assists Professor Anderson in his research and academic activities, primarily in the area of Aboriginal health policy and systems.
Deb has worked as a Project Officer for the Medical Deans of Australia and New Zealand Indigenous Health Project, supporting medical schools in implementing, monitoring and sustaining a nationally agreed Indigenous health curriculum framework. She has also worked as an anthropologist in the area of Native Title in the Northern Territory.
Deb has a Honours degree in Anthropology. Her research interests are: applied anthropology, Aboriginal health policy, Indigenous health in medical education. She is currently studying for a Master degree in public policy and management.
