| Biography |
Bjorn Nansen is is a Research Fellow at the McCaughey Centre working on the Community Connections project and technologies for social inclusion.
He currently works on a number of research projects looking at the mediated home, wired communities and sociotechnical practices for sustainable water use. He has experience in qualitative research methods, has conducted social research in a variety of environments, and has an interest in the critical theory and social study of human-technology relations.
Bjorn is completing his PhD in the School of Culture and Communication at the University of Melbourne on technicity and rhythm – the temporal qualities of human-technology interaction. He has a Bachelor of Arts degree (Deakin University) with Honours (The University of Melbourne) in Literary and Cultural Studies. He has published a number of articles – individually and in collaboration – which inquire into the technological mediation of time, the body, and the everyday.
