| Biography |
Rachel completed a professional Doctorate in Health Psychology at the University of Melbourne in 2005. She has worked with Aboriginal community organisations in the Goulburn Murray region on projects examining the social determinants of wellbeing and the role of such organisations in contributing to the strength of communities. Rachel's current role is as Research Officer on a range of projects including the Heart Health Project, a health promotion and research program conducted in collaboration with several community-controlled organisations. Her primary research interests include psychosocial determinants of health, mastery and wellbeing, models of Indigenous health promotion and the ecological evaluation of health promotion programs. In addition to her research activities, Rachel practices as a clinical health psychologist in the private sector.
