Biography

Elisha Riggs is a Research Fellow and is currently completing her PhD. Elisha works on a range of related public health studies which focus on child oral health, health inequalities, complex public health interventions and research requiring strong and sustained community partnerships. Her PhD focuses on the extremely important area of social, cultural and environmental influences on preschool oral health inequalities in refugee and migrant communities. This project is of great significance, as it will employ culturally competent qualitative research methodologies in partnership with new and emerging communities, in order to better understand the influences (environmental and behavioural) that impact on child oral health.

Elisha is committed to the field of health promotion and is involved as an active member of both the Australian Health Promotion Association and The Victorian Health Promotion Network.
