| Biography |
Theonie Tacticos (BBus (Banking and Business), GradDipComDev, MHS) is a Research Fellow at the CHPPE and has extensive experience in training, research, and evaluation in a range of settings including: local government, health and community agencies. Theonie has a particular interest in community engagement and participation. Theonie's current work includes: providing evaluation and support for the local government Department of Human Services funded Good Practice Program; conducting a community survey for Neighbourhood Renewal which includes training residents to conduct the surveys; and evaluating Best Start, a three year initiative to improve services and facilities for children and their families.
Theonie's past work has included providing health promotion support for Primary Care Partnerships in a VicHealth funded project; providing evaluation support and training in a Department of Human Services Southern Region local government workforce development initiative; teaching at La Trobe University; and four years working at the City of Melbourne. Theonie was the immediate past Victorian President of the Public Health Association.
