| Biography |
Nicole works for the Onemda VicHealth Koori Health Unit, Centre for Health and Society as the Community Development and Communications Officer.
Currently her major areas of work are in Community Development, Community projects, Website development and maintenance, Onemda's quarterly Talkin Strong newsletter, Onemda's database and general administrative support.
Nicole was born in Darwin, her mother is from the Miriwung Jerrong Tribe in the Kimberley region of WA and her father of the Arabana Tribe in South Australia.
Nicole has recently finished her course in Community Services and is now enrolled in a Bachelor of Arts at Victoria University.
In 2007 Nicole won the Outstanding student of the Year - Koorie and at the Victorian Training awards in August, she also won the Victorian Outstanding Student of the Year - Koorie for NMIT. She was also a nominee for the Australian Training awards in the Outstanding Student of the Year—Koorie category.
Nicole has two daughters, Shania and Chloe, and a new baby boy, Xavier who keep her life busy and fulfilled.
