Lisa completed her health sciences undergraduate degree at the University of Adelaide, majoring in Pathology and Genetics. Wanting to broaden her scope beyond the world of biomedical sciences, she enrolled in the health sciences honours program at Deakin University, focusing on health promotion and public health. Here, she carried out research as part of the ‘Fun n’ Healthy in Moreland’ project investigating the contextual environmental factors impacting on children’s school playground leisure activity. She is currently working as a research assistant with the Cochrane Public Health Review Group supporting the core staff facilitate communication between health promotion and public health practitioners, researchers and the international Cochrane Collaboration, and working on global initiatives to support the conduct of systematic reviews of public health interventions.
