Dr Kathleen Brasher |
| Biography |
Dr Kathleen Brasher is an Honorary Research Fellow with the McCaughey Centre: VicHealth Centre for the Promotion of Mental Health and Community Wellbeing.
She is also a Senior Project Officer at VicHealth. Here, Dr Brasher has responsibility for a number of projects including a collaboration with the McCaughey Centre in the development of a toolkit of indicators and measures for mental health promotion. In addition, she has a research program on ageing and social inclusion working with local collaborates including Council on the Ageing Victoria, the Municipal Association of Victoria and the New York Academy of Medicine. Dr Brasher is supervising a number of students with the Centre for Health and Society and tutors on research methods at the Community Cultural Development program in the Faculty of the VCA and Music.
She has extensive experience in the health sector, working in academic, community and clinical settings. She is a member of the Boards of the Whitehorse Community Health Service (where she holds the position of Treasurer) and the Victorian Disability Advisory Council.
