Dr Tania Lewis |
| Biography |
Dr Tania Lewis is an Honorary Fellow with the Centre for Health & Society.
Tania worked as a medical practitioner in NZ before retraining in the humanities. She has taught in media studies and cultural studies and has conducted research in a variety of areas including: makeover TV and lifestyle media, popular experts and celebrity intellectuals, the intellectual history of cultural studies, the network university, and health and lifestyle information on the internet. From 2003-2005 she was based in the Centre for Health and Society at the University of Melbourne as the R. D. Wright Research Fellow and in 2002 she was a Visiting Fellow at the Institute for Advanced Studies of the Humanities, University of Edinburgh. She is currently conducting research on popular media and ethical consumption and on the pedagogical role of lifestyle TV.
