Health Practice

Health Practice is a core subject within semesters 1-5 of the undergraduate medical curriculum that aims to place the biological understandings in medicine within a psychological, social and cultural context.

Students develop knowledge and skills in communication, patient centered medicine, evidence based practice, population health, public health, social health, gender and health, biopsychosocial medicine, medical ethics, indigenous health, psychological medicine, and psychiatry.

Health Practice is delivered by four departments: Population Health; General Practice; Behavioural Sciences; and Psychiatry.
