Graduate Coursework Programs


Masters Degrees

The School offers a suite of Masters programs in Public Health related disciplines that provide our students with a choice between focused specialised degrees or incorporating these specialisations as majors or co-majors within interdisciplinary programs.

All our Masters programs provide the opportunity for students to undertake an applied research project or minor thesis that can contribute between 12.5 and 50% of the course, depending upon the program.

Postgraduate Certificates and Diplomas

The School offers Postgraduate Certificates and Diplomas in Biostatistics, Sexual Health and Health Social Sciences.  Those interested in articulating to a Masters program should speak with the relevant Coursework Coordinator to discuss the appropriate pathway.


Professional Certificate in Indigenous Research and Graduate Certificate in Indigenous Research and Leadership
These Courses are run by Murrup Barak – Melbourne Institute for Indigenous Development but largely administered by the School.  The Professional Certificate in Indigenous Research is available to students undertaking a research higher degree.  This program is run as an on-campus intensive program in February each year.  Students who successfully complete the Professional Certificate will then be eligible to apply for the Graduate Certificate in Indigenous Research and Leadership, to be run as an on-campus intensive program for the first time in July 2012.
